My Three Sons was one of television's longest running and most influential domestic comedies, with a full twelve seasons under its belt. This seemingly innocuous and simple, but effective sitcom, was a huge hit and a cornerstone of television's 'family programming' era in the 1960s. It was a man’s world in the Douglas home, but one of the most appealing aspects of My Three Sons was that Father didn't always know best, and that was okay.
