All Ready To Learn workshops use the Learning Triangle as a basis for presentation. Clips of PBS shows will be shown in conjunction with books and activities that support the theme of the show. Participants will be actively involved at all levels. Complimentary books and teaching materials are given to each participant.

Child Development: A Demonstration Workshop
This workshop looks at the domains of child development -- intellectual, social, emotional and physical -- and demonstrates how good television programs can be a powerful and purposeful introduction to exploration and learning. download booklist

Are you afraid of teaching math? Does the idea cause you to sweat? This workshop will ease your fears and make you anxious to teach your child about math. Participants get hands on ideas of how to use math in everyday situations using shapes, numbers, and songs from PBS programs. download booklist
Media Literacy & the Learning Triangle
A Basic workshop that helps parents and childcare providers with awareness concerning media and how to use quality television, literacy and activities to support learning. download booklist

Rhythm, movement, instruments, and songs make up this workshop. Participants will explore ways to use music as a teaching tool using PBS shows, books and activities. download booklist
Nursery Rhymes
Songs and rhymes for young children have been passed down for generations. They're fun, children love them, and they provide a warm nurturing experience between parent and child. We may not be aware of their enormous educational value. This workshop teaches participants how to use nursery rhymes to teach their children. download booklist
Playing to Learn
A fast paced workshop that recognizes a child's need to "play" as part of the learning process. Participants understand the role of media, hand-on activities and quality children's literature in directing a child' play to maximize learning opportunities. download booklist
Repetition & Variety
The more something is repeated, the more likely children are to remember it. Repetition in different forms also increases the chance of reaching children with different learning styles, and it gives viewers a more comprehensive understanding of the subject. Shared Reading
What is the best way to read to a six month old? Is it possible to read to a child while he/she is not sitting still? This workshop provides the answer to these and many other questions about reading. The magic happens when the child, the parent, and the book are joined. download booklist
Storytelling
This workshop offers participants the skills needed to engage others in a story. PBS shows, books and activities are used to show how easy telling a story can be. Be prepared to practice this skill!! download booklist
What To Do With the Mad You Feel
This workshop helps teachers and childcare providers learn how to strengthen young children's developing abilities to manage and control anger. One of the most important messages we can give our children is "It's okay to be angry, but it's not okay to hurt." The class emphasis that controlling anger is a developmental issue and not a moral issue. download booklist
