Families with older members may face crisis, and the need for care at any moment. The Utah Care Planning Council helps proced elder care solutions. This means that it provides educational materials on the need for elder care planning before a crisis occurs within a family, lists of reources from the state and federal governments that assist in elder care and planning, and lists of expert services to help families plan for and deal with elder care. Discussions to plan for the future need to be had sooner rather than later so that all members of the family can equally participate, and adequate planning and preparation is taken before an incident occurs.

Utah Farm Bureau

by Eleven 2. July 2014 10:51

The Utah Farm Bureau Federation, an affiliate of the American Farm Bureau Federation, is a voluntary organization that supports Utah's farms and ranches. One of the many things they do to support Utah farmers is the Utah Farmers' Market. If farmers in our community aren't able to sell their produce, they are unable to continue, and Utahns aren't getting fresh, healthy, locally-produced food. Because of their local competition, farmers diversify their crops in order to gain more attention to their booths, which benefits you with a wider variety of fantastic produce.

Springville World Folkfest

by Eleven 2. July 2014 10:30

The Springville World Folkfest is exactly what it sounds like, a festival to celebrate the traditional art and music of cultures around the world which is held every year in our very own Springville. The performers who come are from the countries they represent, they pay their own way to travel here, and stay with generous host families in the area. This year Folkfest week will be from July 28th to August 2nd, and each night will have 5 evening performances where each group will perform. The street dance on July 28 is a free performance at the Springville Museum of Art where the audience will learn and participate with some of the dances that the groups will be performing. During the Folkfest you can taste international foods, learn about other cultures, and mingle with the international performers.
