Continuing on its twelfth year, the annual Festival Latino Americano comes to Provo to help all appreciate and celebrate the Latino culture. Be sure to expect lots of great food, music, performances, and more. There isn't even an entrance fee! All of the profits made at the festival will go to a local non-profit organization called Centro Hispano that run community education programs, health programs and other resources available to all of Utah. This year will be from August 30th to September 2nd at the Utah County Historic Courthouse Grounds in downtown Provo.

Because of relocation and other circumstances outside of their control, some native-american elders are no longer have the means to provide subsistence for themselves. The Adopt-a-Native-Elder Program helps them with donations such as food and other means of support. Now with more than 500 elders being supported by the program, donations come from all across the state, country, and even the world.
It is a great way to not only give, but to learn about the Navajo culture and have it impact your life as well.

The Fort Douglas Living History Detachment seeks to preserve the stories and history of soldiers and other individuals associated with the American Civil War. Members of the detachment have a passion for history and for the events which have come to define us a nation and a people. The Fort Douglas Living History Detachment participates in battle and encampment re-enactments, balls, living history activites and parades. Each year, thousands of visitors flock to the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple for tours, festivals, live animals and a new perspective of the world around them. The 19th Annual Llama Fest will be held on July 20th, at 5:00 p.m. Events such as Llama Fest are open to the public and allow members of the community to interact with new cultures, ideas and experiences. Daily tours of the temple and its grounds include the 15-acre farm with llamas, peacocks, cows, parrots and other animals. To learn more about the Krishna Temple and its events, click here.
